3 Day Florence Itinerary: Duomo, Uffizi & the Accademia

Three days in Florence gives you enough time for the Renaissance heavy hitters and the little food stops that make walking across the city so much fun! ✨ Start with the Duomo and Brunelleschi’s dome, then spend day two across the river at Pitti Palace, the Boboli Gardens, and a working wine window before sunset at Piazzale Michelangelo. That sunset view was one of my favorite Florence moments—the red rooftops really do look like the Italy you imagined. 🌇

Your final day is the art day, with the Uffizi, Palazzo Vecchio, Santa Croce, and Michelangelo’s David at the Accademia. Break it up with a Vivoli affogato or a sandwich from Pino’s so the museums do not blur together! 🍦 If you only have a weekend, my 2-day Florence itinerary keeps the Duomo, Uffizi, Pitti, and sunset view. The 4-day itinerary adds Chianti, while the art and history route uses the extra day for the Vasari Corridor, Medici Chapels, and Bargello.
